
During the next decade the population across the nation is expected to increase by 8.9% (27.7 million) people, according to ProximityOne, a demographic resource firm.
The data collected by ProximityOne has determined which counties are expected to get the largest population boosts with the highest percentage change by 2020, as well as the counties that are expected lose some of its population.
St. Bernard Parish, La came in at number one with a 102.62% rise in population, while Sublette County, Wyoming came in last with a population rise of 52.02%. Bent County, Colorado came in behind St. Bernard County, followed by Orleans Parish in La, Filpin County, Colorado, Franklin County, Washington, Duchesne County, Utah and Eureka County, Nevada.
Bristol Bay Borough, Alaska is projected to lose 61.94% of its population, followed by Grant County, Nebraska and Cameron Parish, La.
